It's been a while. And during that log hiatus, there's been much going on. We've been to the US (where I gained ten pounds), returned safely to start a new school year, started a Ph.D. program at SBTS, taken on a leadership role on our team (for the next year), and, yes, continued to try to start a church. We're seeing God do so much in that direction, but there are still so many questions.
When we were in the US, one of the most striking things was the sheer number of churches. Big churches, little churches. Old churches, new churches. Dead churches, lively churches. Whatever they looked like, there were many of them. On highway near my in-laws' house, there were five new church "complexes" from five different denominations. All had moved from prior locations to the "by-pass."' It was amazing.
Those churches are meeting needs. They are finding ways to do ministry among a particular people in a particular place. I pray they continue to do that.
Some exciting things are coming. Check back soon (hopefully I will, too...)

OK, you have proved your point in your last post that your are not "much of a blogger!":) How does that work doing a ph.d. from Paris? My first Expository Preaching seminary is in Jan. I am preaching part of a Homecoming revival series at Cornersville this Friday night. Take care. e-mail!

You are the blogless blogger! I was sure interested in your last post about how God has taught you (is teaching you) about what church really is. I would love to hear more of your thoughts and then join in the conversation.
Next time you're in the states, give me a shout.
